Nathan Samuel Jordan

Nathan Samuel Jordan, 33, returned home to his Heavenly Father October 1, 2011 in Riverton, WY. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 5th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Wendell Richardson conducting. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Nate was born June 28, 1978, to Samuel S. and Mary Ellen (Hart) Jordan in Riverton.

Mr. Jordan graduated from Riverton High School in 1996 and then from Bridgerland Applied Technology College in 2004.

February 10, 2001, he was sealed to Kami Fabrizius in the Ogden Temple.

Nate was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in Ohio. He was also dedicated to the building of the Veil Crossing Monument at Martin’s Cove.

From 2004 until 2011, he worked for Dave Maddock and then in 2005, he and his wife opened the Iron Works Gym. He enjoyed powerlifting, where he maxed out at 425 lbs on bench and 505 lbs. on squat. He shared a love of comic book heroes with his daughters. He and his wife enjoyed traveling, and was known for always having a project on a vehicle. His family says that it was obvious to those who knew Nate that his faith and family came first in his life.

He was the founding member of the ½ ton club at Iron Works Gym. He also volunteered his time with the Fremont County Athletes. He also participated in Turn on Tonkin.

Survivors include his wife Kami of Riverton, daughters, Grace and Scarlett, mother, Mary Ellen Jordan of Shoshoni, brothers, Cody and Dee Jordan of Bonham, TX, Layne and Mary Ann Jordan of Evanston, WY, Hart and Annie Jordan of Encampment, WY, Jason and Sarah Jordan of Cheyenne, WY and Guy and Maggie Jordan of Williston, ND and sister, Beth and Jason Ellis of Bonham, TX.

Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by is father, Sam Jordan, brother, Dustin Jordan and nephew, Cam Jordan.

Memorial contributions to the Nate Jordan Fund, c/o Wells Fargo Bank, 616 N. Federal Blvd., Riverton, WY 82501 or to the Punish Cancer for Nate Fund in care of Davis Funeral Home.

Personalized Name Blocks

Winning bidder will win a set of four personalized name blocks. Bidder will provide artist with four names and allow two to three weeks for delivery. Each name is broken up differently according to blocks and name length. Blocks are 1" to 2" high and letters are vinyl.

Before you start bidding, please read the rules of engagement:

- Each item up for auction can be found in the auction photo album. There will be many items so again make sure to scroll back to older pictures.

Hello,

I don't know if all of you have heard, but Nate Jordan has been fighting an aggressive form of leukemia. I believe all of you know Nate, or his wife Kami (Fabrizius) Jordan. They both attended Riverton High as well as all of their brothers and sisters. Some of you might also know them from church.

Anyway, to help out with the piles of bills they are now facing, a few of us on FB have been thinking about an online auction of sorts. We would put together an album of services, handmade items, gift cards, or donated items that would be open to everyone to view. People could then bid on these items for, say, a week and at the end of the week, the highest bidder wins the item and pays to a Palpal account set up for the Jordans.

This is how you all come into the picture. We were looking for items that we might be able to put in the album. Anything that you think people would bid on would work. In the past I've seen handmade items (crafts), gift cards, photography sessions, beauty sessions, cooked goods, quilts, jewelry, and much much more. You could even send out this e-mail to others you think I've missed so they could have a chance to help.

If you aren't able to donate an item for the auction, but would like to help anyway, when the time comes, maybe you could help by advertising the auction to as many people as you can think of. We're going to use Facebook, e-mail, blogs, twitter, and anything else we can.
